The Ambiance
An arcane organization whose experiments in temporal magic scoured themselves from history. The sky of the Clammy Desert has been known to feature glitchy images and occasionally visitors from lost timelines who temporarily wrap locals up with dreamy memories of these people and what they would be doing together at that time before fading away, and over tens of thousands of years the regularity of this has rendered it normal and undangerous in the minds of locals.
Iosefka and Eepiy had independently approached this organization prior to the Apocalypse in order to learn something from the masters of spacetime magic there. The two of them briefly worked on some spells they were deriving from what tidbits they could get, but their trust was limited and they were both working with people closer to the incident when it happened, who were never recovered. The two of them were flung far into the future, 100,000 years after the Apocalypse, itself occurring an unknown length of time after Iosefka's memories fade out; He awoke in the Oubliettes when the languages of the Outer Planes realigned to conveniently allow him to use his old proficiencies normally, and she returned an unknown time earlier. Eepiy claims that the Moonshot Bandits are demonstrating magic related to what they were studying, such as the retrocast initiative-stealing spell which the Nine of Spades used at the beginning of combat.
