Electronic technology in general is associated with and largely localized to the five Lawful planes (The Five Remaining Heavens, Arcadia, Mechanus, Acheron, Neo Inferno) and the MoTrak rail lines. Much of it can have modern levels of functionality if you pay for enough craftsmanship, but culturally a lot of media is in more of an early 1900s point; There's only one MoTrak TV channel in the outlands but also plenty of local AM radio stations in the areas near MoTrak, and many people have a very distant familiarity with the concepts. This is also a high-magic setting, and many technologies already exist without electricity, including that horrendous glob of birdbrains with chittering beaks that Eepiy had in Episode 1 which function as computers.

You cannot generate electricity in the Outlands or Outer Planes by thinking of ways to spin a magnet inside of a wire coil. Which is WHY it doesn't get adapted widely. You can make alchemical batteries, and you can convert spells, but MoTrak's mass energy comes from... get this... power plants. As in, trees which grow only in Arcadia. Batteries for lamps are relatively easy to make, but converting electricity into mechanical energy is more difficult than normal, requiring something like a conversion to heat to boil steam to push a turbine rather than a coil and magnet system.
